Signetics Integrated Circuits Locmos HEF 4000 Series LOCMOS (Locally Oxidised CMOS) GENERAL DESCRIPTION LOCMOS is completely pin, function and type number compatible with the 4000 and 14000 famities. Compared with ordinary CMOS, LOCMOS circuit geometries are smalier and stray capacitances consequently lower. Switching speeds are thus faster and power consumption lower. Furthermore, LOCMOS has an almost idea! output characterisvic making it the obvious choice in noisy environments.
