3 Series

Thumbwheel Switches

Multisection switches can be made by ordering number of sections desired and

accessories such as end plates and blank sections. Description. Thumbwheel: Matte

black with unsealed switch contacts. Operating Voltage: 50 mV to 28 VDC or

120 VAC. Operating Temperature: Ð10¡C to 65¡C. Body and Wheel: ABS plastic.

Rotor Contacts: Precious metal on copper alloy. Stator Contacts: Hard gold over

nickel over 2 oz. copper on epoxy fiberglass. Contact Rating: 1 amp continuous carry,

100 mA max. switched current. Insulation Resistance: 10

ohms min. Dielectric

Strength: 500 Vrms min. at sea level between common terminal and any output.

Contact Rating: 25 mA max. at VAC or DC max. Operating Temperature: Ð30¡C to 65¡C. Case

and Bushing: Glass filled Nylon. Actuator: Black ABS or polycarbonate-ABS blend, matte finish.

SPST normally open reed switch, contacts are hermetically sealed within a glass capsule. Reed switch opens when

separately encased magnet is removed from proximity. Contacts are held closed when magnet is within actuation range.

Wide gap contacts speeds installation, making magnet and switch alignment easier. Contact Rating: 0.3 amps @

100 VAC; 100 VA max. @ 100 VDC; max. carry current 1.0 amp. Max. Operating Time: 1 msec, including bounce. Life

Expectancy: 10 million operations. Housing: UL 94V-0, impact resistant ABS plastic (white), with patented o-ring

protecting the reed switch. Potted 12 inch wire leads, 22 AWG.
