Precision Stripper Tool Precision Stripper Tool Specification Sheet Order No. 63817-0400 FEATURES Precision strip tool, suitable for cable diameters up to 11mm (0.43 inch) 10 position indexed blade height adjustment wheel Lightweight, safe, and no open blade Replacement blade cassette available DESCRIPTION: This cable stripper is designed for cables of all insulation types 2.50 to 11mm (0.100.43") in diameter and insulation thickness up to 1.0mm (0.04"). The precision stripping tool is for removing the sheath from signal, telephone, audiovisual, instrumentation and data transmission copper and fiber optic cables. The tool has 10 position indexing blade height adjustment wheel for accurate and repeatable stripping results. An "X" position on the wheel allows the tool to be closed together to eject a worn blade cassette for quick and safe replacement. This tool will last for up to 50,000 cycles (blade life is dependent on material being stripped). Replacement blade cassettes (order number 63817-0470) are available. Squeeze the tool together to open the stripping cavity. 2. Turn the wheel on the side of the tool to increase or decrease blade depth for insulation thickness. See Figure 1 3. Insert the cable. See Figure 2 4. Squeeze the tool together again to close the stripping cavity. 5. Rotate the tool 3600 to cut. See Figure 3. 6. Remove the tool from the cable in the direction shown in figure 4. 7. Turn the wheel until the X appears in the window of the tool. See Figure 6. 2. Squeeze the tool together. 3. The worn blade cassette will eject from the tool. Figure 6 Figure 7 CAUTION: Sharp edges. Remove dust, moisture, and other debris with a clean brush, or soft, lint free cloth. Do not use any abrasive materials that could damage the tool. No lubricate is required. Make sure the blade area is cleaned of debris. When the tool is not in use, store it in a clean, dry area. Warranty This tool is for stripping electrical cable only. All tools are warranted to be free of manufacturing defects for a period of 30 days. Should such a defect occur, the tool will be exchanged free of charge. This exchange will not be applicable to altered, misused, or damaged tools. This tool is designed for hand use only. Any alteration to the tool voids this warranty.
