Please note: As part of the Fairchild Semiconductor integration, some of the Fairchild orderable part numbers
will need to change in order to meet ON Semiconductor’s system requirements. Since the ON Semiconductor
product management systems do not have the ability to manage part nomenclature that utilizes an underscore
(_), the underscore (_) in the Fairchild part numbers will be changed to a dash (-). This document may contain
device numbers with an underscore (_). Please check the ON Semiconductor website to verify the updated
device numbers. The most current and up-to-date ordering information can be found at www.onsemi.com. Please
email any questions regarding the system integration to Fairchild_questions@onsemi.com.

Description
The FSA1256, FSA1256A, FSA1257, FSA1257A,
FSA1258, and FSA1258A are high performance dual
Single-Pole / Single-Throw (SPST) analog switches. All
devices feature ultra-low RON of 1.1 maximum at 4.5 V
VCC. The FSA1256, FSA1257, and FSA1258 operate
over a wide VCC range of 1.65 V to 5.5 V. The
FSA1256A, FSA1257A, and FSA1258A operation range
is 2.7 V to 5.5 V. These devices are fabricated with sub-
micron CMOS technology to achieve fast switching
speeds and are designed for break-before-make
operation. The select input is TTL level compatible. The
FSA1256 and FSA1256A feature two Normally Open
(NO) switches. The FSA1257 and FSA1257A feature
two Normally Closed (NC) switches. The FSA1258 and
FSA1258A have one NO switch and one NC swi tch.

Absolute Ma ximum Ratings
Stresses exceeding the absolute maximum ratings may damage the device. The device may not function or be
operable above the rec ommended operating conditions and stressing the parts to these levels is not recommended.
In addition, extended exposure to stresses above the recommended operating c onditions may affect device reliability.
The absolute maximum ratings are stress ratings only.
