8. ENVIRONMENTAL CHARACTERISTICS
(1) Temperature Coefficient of Resistance (T.C.R.)
Test Method:
::
: Measure resistance at )25$ or specifie d roo m tempera tur e as
R1, then measur e at (55$ or )155$ respectively as R2.
Determine the temperature coefficient of resistance from the
following formula.
R2(R1 `
T.C.R.
# ------------ X 106(PPM/$)
R
1 (t2(t1)
Where t1#)25$ or specified room temperature
t2#(55$ or )155$ test temperature
R1#resistance at reference t e mperature in ohms.
R2#resistance at test temperature in ohms.
Acceptance Standard: (Refer to item 5)
(2) Th ermal Shock
Test Method"(55!3$, 2 minutes an d )155!2$, 2 minutes as one cycle.
After 5 cycles, the specimen shall be stabilized at room temp. for
1 hour minimu m and the n me asure the resistance to determine
-R/R(%).
Acceptance Standard"!(0.5%)0.05&) for 1% tol.
!(1%)0.05&) for 5% tol.
(3) Low Temperature Operation
Test Method"Place the specimen in a test chamber maintained at (65 $.
After one hour stabilization at this temperature, full rated working
voltage shall b e ap plied 45 m inutes. Have15 minu te s after
remove the voltage, the specimen shall be removed from the
chamber and stabilized at room temperature for 24 hrs.
Measure the resistance to determine -R/R(%).
