GENERAL INFORMATION
This range of circulators is designed for amplifier protection
in solid state television transmitters. Their purpose is to
protect amplifiers whose outputs are to be combined to
produce high power. Each device is phase matched to ensure
that the combined power is produced as efficiently as
possible. The circulators will withstand a full 200 Watt
continuous wave into a short or open circuit. This gives the
amplifier the highest possible level of protection. The phase
matching specification is maintained over the full temperature
range. All production devices will have insertion phase spread
within a 16° window.
As the three types are mechanically identical,the layout of the
transmitters need not var y to accommodate different bands.
Moreover,they are constructed using common materials and
designs. This allows maximum flexibility when ordering. These
high quality components are already in volume production.
