J @ Analog input and outputs @ Delays stable and precise @ 14-pin DIP package (.250 high) @ Available in delays from 10 to 150ns @ Ten (10) equally-spaced taps @ Available in impedances of 50, 100 and 200 ohms design notes The DIP Series" Lurmped Constant Passive Delay Lines developed by Engineered Components Company have been designed to provide precise delays for analog delay line applica- tions. These delay lines provide excellent delay accuracy, low DCR, low attenuation and low distortion. These delay lines are offered in 32 models with delays fram 10 to 150ns and with taps at 10% increments of total delay. Delay time is measured at the 50% point on the leading edge. Fise time is measured fram the 10 to 90% points on the leading edge, Accuracies are maintained as shown under Operating Characteristics.' Temperature coefficient of delay is less than 75 ppm "C over the operating temperature range of 55 to A 125C. 2 Le engineered components company 3580 Sacramento Drive, P. 0. These delay lines find extensive use in providing the required delay timing functions necessary in radar, computer, communication, testing, and instrument applications. Construction of the DIP Series utilizes miniature toroid inductors and monolithic ceramic capacitors to provide the utmast in miniaturization and reliability, The MTBF on these delay lines, when calculated per MIL-HDBK-217, for a 50C ground fixed environment and with 5V DC applied, is in excess of 2 million hours. These "'DIP Series" delay lines are packaged in a 14-pin DIP housing, molded of flarne-proof Diallyl Phthalate per MIL-M-14, Type SDG-F, and are fully encapsulated in epoxy resin. These delay lines are designed to meet the applicable portions of MIL-B-23859 and they are capable of meeting the enviarnmental requirements af MIL-STD-202 for moisture resistance, vibration, temperature cycling, humidity and life. Round metal leads meet the solderability requirements of MIL-STB-202, Method 208. Corner standoffs on the housing provide positive standaft from the printed circuit board ta permit solder-fillet formation and flush cleaning of solder-flux residues for improved reliability.DESIGN NOTES (continued) Marking consists of manufacturer's name, logo (EC4), part number, terminal identification and date code of manufacture. All marking is applied by silk screen process using white epoxy paint in accordance with MIL-STD-130, to meet the permanency of identification required by MIL-STB-202, Method 2145, BLOCK DIAGRAM IS SHOWN BELOW 4 11 5 | MECHANICAL DETAIL IS SHOWN BELOW + 800 Gel 35 7 9 c 400 |@DIP-_ R | | IN 2 4 6 8 10 i ale Gr? ssi6 MADE IN SLO USA lr .O60 I | | | | ) 140 =.070 TYP, | T ) l|- o20 Dia.
