32-Channel PCIe DVR Add-In Card
VRC7032 Product Brief
1/2
Description
With the world’s highest channel density, the VRC7032 PCI Express
Digital Video Recorder (DVR) add-in card features three Stretch S7100
software configurable processors and performs H.264 encoding on 32
channels of standard definition video at full resolution and frame rate.
Extensive video preprocessing coupled with the power of the Stretch
High Profile CODEC gives the VRC7032 the best video quality in the
industry.
At equivalent quality levels, VRC7032-compressed streams have
one-half the bit rate of those produced by competitors’ solutions.
This results in a 50% reduction in storage costs for surveillance
installations using the VRC7032. The Stretch Scalable Video CODEC
(SVC) provides ultimate flexibility by delivering video over constrained
bandwidth networks and allows the stored video to be managed over
time, further reducing storage costs.
The VRC7032 provides two channels of standard definition spot
monitor output and can perform scaling and tiling of video into any
user-defined arrangement for display. Its high bandwidth PCIe
interface allows connectivity with host systems.

The VRC7032 features Stretch’s standard Application
Programming Interface (API), ensuring plug and play
compatibility with existing Stretch installations and rapid
porting of third-party applications. The VRC7032 is available
as production-ready OEM units for volume production,
and has an Evaluation Kit (EVK). EVKs are intended for
evaluation purposes.
It also supports 16 channels of alarm input–output and an
RS485 interface for remote camera control through an I/O
header. The card also has a debug connector for UART and
JTAG interfaces, which facilitates hardware and software
debugging.
