New Product Bulletin Luminus MP Series Amphenol Pcd is pleased to announce the availability of our latest innovation in light weight aerospace connection systems, Luminus MP (Metal Plated) Series. These twist & lock, "scoop-proof" connectors provide the same convenience and weight savings of the Luminus Series, with the added benefit of EMI shielding and protection from ambient noise transients. Attenuation dB EMI shielding is provided by an electroless copper and nickel plate, and a copper alloy spring finger gasket. Tests show greater than 50db of attenuation for low end signals (<100Mhz) and greater than 40db of attenuation for high end signals (<1Ghz). This level of isolation makes Luminus MP Series the ideal choice for AC wash lighting, fluorescent lighting, switching power supply systems, and inter-system connectivity signal paths, where protection against ambient noise transients is required. (DO-160G Section 21 categories B, L and M and DO-160G Section 20 categories S & T). All existing Luminus Series configurations will be available in the MP style. Luminus MP Series samples are currently available in the 8-pin, 12-pin, and 25-pin configurations. Frequency in Mhz *Preliminary Jam Nut Receptacle Amphenol Pcd is also pleased to announce the availability of our latest configuration in the Luminus Series twist & lock connection system, a circular Jam Nut Receptacle connector. This addition provides greater flexibility in application options, allowing for simple and secure panel PCB mounting. Available in the Metal Plated or standard version, the Jam Nut Receptacle is ideal for power supply cases, power distribution panels, seat power distribution and modular power feed through applications where weight and cost are critical factors. Solder wash standoff feet and self-tapping screw holes enable PCB mounting. PCB mounting is useful for inter-system connectivity, where a rigid board-to-board connector is impractical. Jam Nut Receptacle samples are currently available in the 12-pin and 25-pin configurations.
