These devices incorporate a integral molded lens which enables a narrow irradiance pattern and provides even emission over a large area. The side looking package is designed for PC board mounting and enables sensing in a plane perpendicular to the mounting surface. The OP142 series are mechanically and spectrally matched to the OP552 series NPN Infrared Phototransistors.
