The family of Optional Internal Optical Power Splitters PONA 2100 series EDFAs is designed to meet the most demanding Standard RS-232 Communication (RS485 or I2C is optional) noise performance requirements of CATV applications, and performs all the functions required of an optical amplifier for system Key lock switch integration. PONA 2100 series EDFAs provide optical isolation on Standard and Optional Gain Flatness (1530nm - 1562nm) the input and output of the gain block for stable, low noise operation. VFD Panel Status Indicator The input and output optical signal power levels are detected for Low Electrical Power Consumption monitoring and control. The input optical signal is amplified with Input / Output Isolation > 40/40 dB active gain control for a constant output power level, or with active Polarization Dependant Gain < 0.1 dB output power control for constant gain mode.
