Product Description Scotch®Filament Tape 898 is a high-performance transparent packaging tape
reinforced along its length with continuous glass-yarn filaments, which give the tape
very high tensile strength. The transparent 3M™ Scotchpro™ backing provides
excellent abrasion, moisture and scuff resistance. The adhesive is an aggressiv e
packaging adhesi v e specifically formulated to provide balanced performance ha ving
both high adhesion and long term holding po wer.

Available Sizes
A pplication Techniques An extensive line of application equipment including hand-held manual dispensers
and an automatic L-Clip applicator, the 3M-Matic™ S867, is available. Application
of Scotch®Filament Tape 898 is most easily accomplished at room temperature.
At colder temperatures, approaching 32°F (0°C), the adhesive becomes firm. Once
applied, Scotch®Tape 898 performs well throughout the normal temperature ranges
typically encountered by packaged products in shipping and storage environments.
Storage Conditions Store behind present stock. Store in a clean, dry place. Temperature of 40-80°F
(4-26°C) and 40-50% relative humidity are recommended. Rotate your stock.
Shelf Life To obtain best performance, use this product within 18 months from date of
manufacture.
