LTN Self-Supporting Cables
These figure-eight, interbuilding cables are designed to be suspended aerially as a self-
contained unit. There is no need for a separate messenger or support wire to be installed.
The gel-filled, loose tube construction provides the best protection against the adverse
conditions to which it will be exposed. The cable is armored with corrugated steel and
has two jackets for maximum protection against animal attacks and gunshots. The LTN
cables incorporate a co-extruded galvanized EHS Steel Messenger Cable, intended for
spans of up to 500 feet.
Span lengths for specific installations will vary with storm load rating and mid-span sag
limitations.
