Vorsicht
Montage
Die Montage von Komponenten des SpliTConnect Tap Systems darf nur an Bussegmenten erfolgen, die nicht in
Betrieb sind. Andernfalls kann es zu Unfällen oder zu Funktionsstörungen kommen.
Das SpliTConnect Tap System ist nur für die Verwendung mit den SIMATIC NET PROFIBUS FC Process Cable
bestimmt (Bestellnummer 6XV1830-5EH10, 6XV1830-5FH10). Bei anderweitiger Verwendung oder Einsatz
anderer Leitungstypen kann es zu Unfällen, oder zur Zerstörung oder zu Funktionsstörungen des SpliTConnect
Systems und der Leitung komm en.
Biegeradien
Beachten Sie unbedingt die zulässigen Biegeradien
des PROFIBUS FC Process Cable:
- einmaliges biegen > 60 mm
- mehrmaliges biegen > 120 mm.

Installationsänderung
Demontieren Sie erst das Kontaktierelement (2),
bevor Sie Komponenten eines bereits montierten
SpliTConnect Tap Systems demontieren.
Ansonsten kann das Kontaktierelement (2)
beschädigt werden.
Wird das Kontaktierelement (2) gelöst, so sind die
Leitungsenden neu abzusetzen. Um eine lösbare
Verbindung herzustellen, ist entweder das
SpliTConnect M12 Outlet oder der SpliTConnect M12
Jack zu verwenden.
1. Schrauben Sie das Kontaktierelement (2) los und
ziehen Sie es vom SpliTConnect Tap (1) ab.

Hinweis
Erdung
Bei Bedarf kann das SpliTConnect Tap geerdet
werden. Hierzu steht am Kontaktierelement (2) ein
M4 Gewinde zur Verfügung.
Es wird empfohlen einen Kabelschuh zu verwenden.

Montage des SpliTConnect Tap
FDPP FDPP
1. Schrauben Sie das Kontaktier-
element (2) los und ziehen Sie
es vom SpliTConnect Tap (1)
ab.
2. Isolieren Sie die Leitung mit Hilfe
des FastConnect Stripping
Tool 1) ab.
1) siehe Montageanleitung des
FastConnect Stripping Tool
3. Halten Sie die Abisoliermaße
ein.
Achtung! Die Adern dürfen
nicht abisoliert werden.

4. Schieben Sie Mutter (3),
Zugentlastung (4), Dichtung (5)
und Schirmkontaktierelement (6)
auf die Leitung.
Achtung! Die Metallscheibe (M)
des Schirmkontaktierelements
(6) muss in Richtung
Litzenhalter (7) zeigen.
5. Stecken Sie den Litzenhalter (7)
auf die nicht abisolierten Adern
auf.
Achtung! Farbkodierung
beachten.
6. Führen Sie die bestückte
Leitung in den SpliTConnect Tap
(1) ein. Achten Sie dabei auf die
Kodierung (K).

7. Ziehen Sie die Mutter (3) bis
zum Ansch lag an. 8. Führen Sie die Montageschritte
2 bis 7 für die beiden anderen
Leitungsabgänge durch. Achten
Sie dabei auf die Kodierung (K).
9. Führen Sie das Kontaktier-
element (2) in den SpliTConnect
Tap (1) ein. Die Ausrichtung ist
durch die Nut (N) und die
Führung im Kontaktierelement
(2) vorgegeben.
Achtung! Alle 3 Abgänge
müssen korrekt bestückt sein.
10. Ziehen Sie das Kontaktier-
element (2) bis zum Anschlag
an.
Zur Unterstützung können Sie
einen Schraubendreher durch
die dafür vorgesehene Öffnung
im Kontaktierelement (2)
stecken.

Montage nicht benutzter Ausgänge
1. Schließen Sie nicht benutzte Ausgänge mit
Mutter (3), Dichtung (5). Dichtscheibe (8),
Schirmkontaktierelement (6) und Litzenhalter (7)
ab.
Achten Sie dabei auf die Reihenfolge.
Montage auf einer Fläche oder Hutschiene
1. Zur Montage auf einer ebenen Fläche oder auf
einer Hutschiene, stecken Sie den fertig
montierten SpliTConnect Tap (1) auf den
SplitConnect Clip (9) auf.
Vorsicht
Der SpliTConnect Tap dient nicht als Zugentlastung
für die PROFIBUS-Leitung.
Die Leitung muss daher zugentlastet angebracht
werden!
Montage des SpliTConnect Coupler
1. Schrauben Sie den SpliTConnect Coupler (10)
auf einen freien Leitungsabgang eines
SpliTConnect Tap (1) auf.
Achtung! Das Kontaktierelement (2) muss
demontiert sein.
2. Schrauben Sie den SpliTConnect Coupler (10)
auf einen freien Leitungsabgang eines zweiten
SpliTConnect Tap (1) auf.
3. Schrauben Sie die Kontaktierelemente (2) auf die
komplett bestückten SpliTConnect Tap auf.

Montage des SpliTConnect M12 Outlet
1. Schrauben Sie das SpliTConnect M12 Outlet (11)
auf einen freien Leitungsabgang eines
SpliTConnect Tap (1) auf.
Achtung! Das Kontaktierelement (2) muss
demontiert sein
2. Schrauben Sie das Kontaktierelement (2) auf den
komplett bestückten SpliTConnect Tap (1) auf.

Montage des SpliTConnect Terminator bzw. Terminator Ex
1. Führen Sie den SpliTConnect Terminator Ex (12)
in den SpliTConnect Tap (1) ein.
Die Ausrichtung ist durch die Nut (N) und die
Führung im SpliTConnect Terminator Ex (12)
vorgegeben.
Achtung! Alle 3 Abgänge müssen korrekt
bestückt sein.

2. Ziehen Sie den SpliTConnect Terminator Ex (12)
bis auf Anschlag an.
Zur Unterstützung können Sie einen Schrauben-
dreher durch die dafür vorgesehene Öffnung im
SpliTConnect Terminator Ex (12) stecken.

Caution
Assembly
Components of the SpliTConnect tap system must only be assembled in bus segments that are not operational.
Otherwise accidents or functional disruptions are possible.
The SpliTConnect tap system is intended only for use with the SIMATIC NET PROFIBUS FC process cable (order
number 6XV1830-5EH10, 6XV1830-5FH10). If put to other use or when used with other cable types, this can lead
to accidents or destruction or functional disruption of the SpliTConnect system and the cable.
Bend radii
Make sure that y o u keep to the permitted bend radii
of the PROFIBUS FC process cable:
- bending once > 60 mm
- multiple bending > 120 mm.

Changing the installation
First dismantle the contacting element (2) before you
dismantle components of a previously assembled
SpliTConnect tap system.
Otherwise the contacting element (2) may be
damaged.
If you remove the contacting element (2), the ends of
the cables must be stripped and prepared again. If
you want a pluggable connection, use either the
SpliTConnect M12 outlet or the SpliTConnect M12
jack.
1. Unscrew the contacting element (2) and pull it
away from the SpliTConnect tap (1).

Note
Grounding
if necessary, the SpliTConnect tap can be grounded.
An M4 threaded hole is available on the contacting
element (2) for this.
It is advisable to use a cable lug.

Assembling the SpliTConnect tap
FDPP FDPP
1. Unscrew the contacting element
(2) and pull it away from the
SpliTConnect tap (1).
2. Strip the cable with the
FastConnect stripping
tool 1).
1) Refer to the assembly instructions for
the FastConnect stripping tool
3. Keep to the stripping lengths.
Caution! The wires must not be
stripped.

4. Push the nut (3), strain relief (4),
seal (5) and shield contact
element (6) onto the cable.
Caution! The metal washer (M)
of the shield contact element (6)
must point in the direction of the
strand holder (7).
5. Place the strand holder (7) onto
the insulated wires.
Caution! Keep to the color
coding.
6. Insert the assembled cable in
the SpliTConnect tap (1). Make
sure that the coding (K) is
correct.

7. Tighten the nut (3) as far as it
will go. 8. Work through assembly steps 2
to 7 for the other two cable
outlets. Make sure that the
coding (K) is correct.
9. Insert the contacting element (2)
in the SpliTConnect tap (1). The
alignment is decided by the
groove (N) and the guide on the
contacting element (2).
Caution! All 3 outlets must be
correctly assembled.
10. Tighten the contacting element
(2) as far as it will go.
It may help to insert a
screwdriver through the opening
in the contacting element (2).

Assembling unused outputs
1. Close unused outputs with
nut (3), seal (5), sealing washer (8), shield
contact element (6) and strand holder (7).
Make sure they are fitted in the correct order.
Installation on a surface or DIN rail
1. To install on a flat surface or a DIN rail, fit the
assembled SpliTConnect tap (1) to the
SplitConnect clip (9).
Caution
The SpliTConnect tap is not intended as strain relief
for the PROFIBUS cable.
The cable must therefore be relieved of any strain
before it is connected!
Assembling the SpliTConnect coupler
1. Screw the SpliTConnect coupler (10) to a free
cable outlet of a SpliTConnect tap (1).
Caution! The contacting elem ent (2) must first be
removed.
2. Screw the SpliTConnect coupler (10) to a free
cable outlet of a second SpliTConnect tap (1).
3. Screw the contacting elements (2) onto the
completely assembled SpliTConnect tap.

Fitting the SpliTConnect M12 outlet
1. Screw the SpliTConnect M12 Outlet (11) onto a
free cable outlet of a SpliTConnect tap (1).
Caution! The contacting elem ent (2) must first be
removed
2. Screw the contacting element (2) onto the
completely assembled SpliTConnect tap (1).

Fitting the SpliTConnect terminator or terminator Ex
1. Insert the SpliTConnect terminator Ex (12) in the
SpliTConnect tap (1).
The alignment is decided by t he groove (N) and
the guide on the SpliTConnect terminator Ex (12).
Caution! All 3 outlets must be correctly
assembled.

2. Tighten the SpliTConnect terminator Ex (12) as
far as it will go.
It may help to insert a screwdriver through the
opening in the SpliTConnect terminator Ex (12).
