Standard I/O Modules
Both analog and digital modules are available in Opto 22Õs standard packaging.
Standard digital modules offer a wide range of voltage and speed combinations
and are available for 5, 15, or 24-volt logic. Analog modules offer 12-bit
resolution. Analog input modules include voltage, current, thermocouple, RTD,
ICTD, and frequency. Both voltage and current analog outputs are available.

The SNAP-LCM4 modular controller features powerful communications
capabilities, built-in diagnostics, a 32-bit processor and a variety of expansion
options. Controllers are designed to take advantage of the Opto 22 intelligent
distributed I/O architecture and provide a solid hardware foundation for Opto
22Õs Windows 32-bit FactoryFloor software suite. The SNAP-LCM4 packs
power and performance in a package that integrates seamlessly with other
Opto 22 SNAP products. Designed specifically for industrial applications, the
controller provides ethernet, ARCNET and serial communication options for
unmatched flexibility. Serial ports provide an interface with radio modems,
cellular modems and even satellite communication equipment as well as any
third-party serial device.

G4 I/O Modules
G4 I/O includes both digital and analog modules. Each G4 module offers high-density single-channel packaging. Each
digital module includes an LED status indicator and is also available with manual switching capability for field wiring and
control logic testing. Digital modules support 5, 15, or 24-volt logic. G4 digital output modules feature a top-mounted
replaceable fuse. G4 analog modules are factory-calibrated, offer 12-bit resolution, and require a single 24-volt power
supply. All current loop modules include an isolated loop power supply for added flexibility and reduced instrumentation
costs. Input types include voltage, current, thermocouple, RTD, ICTD, frequency, and velocity. Outputs include voltage,
current, and time-proportional output.

SNAP Industrial Controllers
SNAP controllers work with SNAP I/O systems to provide powerful distributed control in a small footprint. The
SNAP-LCM4 is Opto 22's fastest controller to date, ideal for control and communication to I/O systems, serial devices,
motion controllers, and networks. The SNAP-LCM4 features powerful communications capabilities including Ethernet,
ARCNET, and serial. Serial ports provide an interface with Opto 22 I/O, radio modems, cellular modems, even satellite
communications equipment, as well as any third-party serial device. The SNAP-LCM4 includes built-in diagnostics, a
32-bit Motorola processor, 4 MB RAM, and four expansion slots. The SNAP-LCSX and SNAP-LCSX-PLUS controllers are
the cost-effective answer to applications requiring small, powerful, real-time industrial control. Both contain 32-bit
processors capable of a wide range of computing functions. The SNAP-LCSX has two COM ports and the
SNAP-LCSX-PLUS has four. Each controller has 1 MB of RAM.

Interfaces
Opto 22Õs interface layer is divided into two segments: Interface Cards for Opto 22 controllers and Traditional adapter
cards that support a wide variety of communication options. Traditional adapter cards include PC adapter cards and
standalone adapter cards to facilitate communication between Opto 22Õs control system and a wide range of third-party
computers, devices, and protocols. Opto 22 offers a variety of bus-based adapters to fully harness the power of the PC in
industrial control.
