The Heel Grounder HGS1M, Standard Style, provides a conductive sole under the heel, and
a stretch-nylon strap around the back of the shoe. This quality grounder features a durable
two-layer sole, lot number and 23-inch multi-strand ribbon. Heel Grounders are designed
and manufactured for comfort, durability and cost effectiveness. Heel grounders are UL
listed for safety and tested for electrical performance.

How Heel Grounders Work
Heel grounders eliminate a charge on a person by electrically connecting the person to
a grounded surface. A conductive ribbon placed inside the wearer’s shoe or sock makes
electrical contact with the skin through perspiration. The assembly contains a current-
limiting resistor which protects the operator from accidental exposure to electricity. Heel
grounders must be worn on both feet to maintain ground contact while walking.
