The 0.45mm type is ideal for use in smart cards and sensors, where an extremely low thickness is required. The 0.65mm Z5U capacitors are designed to be surface mounted beneath a plastic leaded chip carrier. This method minimises circuit inductance and allows higher packaging densities to be achieved. They are ideal for decoupling logic circuits and memories up to 1 megabyte.
