Using The Guide

Performance + Flexibility

The core of our LCD controller family, supporting a wide range of inputs and resolutions upto UXGA,

the Performance + Flexibility products include the ALR-1400, the AVP-1600, DVS-1600 & SP-1600.

The ALR offers DVI & ARGB only, the AVP offers Composite & S-Video only, the DVS offers a combi-

nation of both, whilst the SP-1600 adds Component input to the mix. The products support multiple

panel timings and select between different displays with onboard jumper settings. They all support

RS-232 OSD menu control and are offered with 3 year warranty.

Hi-Resolution Controllers

The high resolution DVI-2560, SVH-1920 and SVX-1920 not only support resolutions upto WQXGA

(2560x1600) - making them suitable for 1080P HD requirements - but they are also packed with high

end display control features that enable a range of applications in the broadcast, medical, industrial

and military sectors . These include control features such as image ip, freeze & zoom functions, text

overlay, onboard ethernet, 10 bit panel support - and with extension boards HD-SDI, 3G input and

120Hz panel refresh. The products are offered with a 3 year warranty.

Harsh Environment Controllers

Designed for use in the very toughest of industrial and military environments - Digital View produces a

parallel range of Harsh Environment (HE) controllers. The HE-1400, HE-1600 & HE-1920 mirror all the

features of the standard controller product range, but offer the additional features of -40 to +80 degrees

C operating temperature, conformal coatings and vibration resistance.

Digital View provides a comprehensive range of accessories to complement our controllers. We pro-

vide solutions to enhance user interface, aid in remote problem solving, enable system differentiation

and customization. Our boards are just one component in a kit of parts that Digital View supplies to

ensure that you get the most from your chosen LCD panel and deliver a premium set of features for

Solid State Media Players

Alongside our core LCD interface product range - Digital View also supplies a range of commercial

grade solid state media players. These media player products are used to deliver reliable and robust

digital video playback in digital signage, retail media, digital merchandising, way nding and museum

applications. The products are built on the same industrial component and high feature-set principles

that underpin the Digital View LCD controller range.

These fanless media players support MPEG, DivX, WMV & AVI media le formats upto 1080P/60 HD

output. They offer USB content update, interactivity, RS-232 control, scheduled media playback and

are supplied with a free content management software - ‘DV-Studio’. The top-of-the-range RP-500

player also offers a turnkey networking solution for digital signage applications.

The media players are supplied as OEM boards - for integrators to build their own digital media solu-

tions - as encased players (the Viewstream Range) and as integrated ‘professional picture frame’

combinations (the Videoyer Range)

Digital View recognizes the importance of offering display controls that are simple and intuitive, yet

powerful. On Screen Display kits are available in a variety of button, joystick, and touch screen con-

gurations, and custom interfaces can be designed and manufactured upon request.

OSD Control Buttons: Digital View offers three types of external control buttons: A digital switch

mount, a vertical membrane, a horizontal membrane. Each has 8 functional buttons that control Vol-

ume (up/down), Mute, Repeat, Next, Play, Pause, Stop. Each OSD kit ships with an interface cable,

available in lengths of 150 mm, 300 mm, and 610 mm.

Hot Buttons: In addition, users are able to set ‘hot buttons’ or direct access buttons that are dedicated

to a single function. These may be user-dened to permit one touch setting change, input selection,

brightness control, or many other functions.

Digital View provides a customization service offering customer’s own logo on the Start-up screen and

OSD menu for all controllers.

For the SVH-1920 & SVX-1920 additional features are available:

• Flip & Rotate enables the image and OSD of the display to be rotated by both 90 and

180 degrees, allowing portrait and ceiling mounting. (SVH / HE-1920 only)

• Picture-in-Picture (PIP) shows multiple video sources on a single display at the same

The Inverter interface board provides interface to drive up the high

current consumption panel inverter in excess of 3.5A. This board en-

ables current of up to 8 Amps to be managed safely while retaining

the capability for inverter dimming and management of the inverter

enable signal according to VESA DPMS standards. Additionally, the

inverter interface board provides over voltage protection via a reset-

table fuse when the input voltage exceeds 13V, and reverse polarity

Digital Media Players :

The Digital View media player range offer crystal clear digital video and digital audio playback. Running

off removable & USB updatable ash memory, these lightweight, compact LINUX players have no inter-

nal moving parts, offer auto-start and ‘bullet-proof’ reliability. The Viewstream players and boards de-

liver more than 100,000 hours MTBF and are sold with a 3 year warranty.

High Denition :

The range includes JPEG, MPEG2&4, AVI & WMV products, with high-end support for 1080P/60 high

denition media playback and professional digital audio.

Interactivity :

The range supports fast response interactivity with 16 function button controls, touch screens, motions

sensors, barcode scanners and RS-232 serial port control.

Professional Picture Frames :

The Digital View ‘Videoyer’ range offers integrated media player and high quality digital LCD panels,

sizes range from 6” to 15” diagonal. Options are available for integrated touch screens and ‘open-

frame’ chassis versions.

Digital Signage Networking:

The VS-500 player is supplied with a free FTP networking software - DV SYNC. DV-SYNC enables the

simple update of media les through either a local network or the internet. For larger more complex

digital signage requirements, Digital View is partnered with a full service hosted content management

system provider - Delivering Digital Ltd.

Software & Services :

The Viewstream products are all sold with free playlist creation software - DV Studio. DV Studio en-

ables the creation of timed looping playlists, interactive applications and compliance reporting based on

eld playout data. Digital View is also linked to customer software and content creation development

Solid State

Getting Networked

The Viewstream 500 can be used for REMOTE NETWORKING opportunities, where play-

lists and video can be updated either over a local area network, or the internet. To ac-

cess REMOTE NETWORKING functionality, a VS-500 must either be upgraded with the

DV-SYNC software, or alternatively customers can purchase the pre-congured RP-500

(Remote Player 500).

DV-SYNC:

Allows users to create a simple FTP location on any accessible server (either internal net-

work or online) through which to update and control the content and media on an RP-500.

Using the DV-SYNC network protocol, a user sets parameters on the RP-500 that direct

it to access a specic folder at the FTP location. Content playlists and schedules are cre-

ated in the normal way (using DV-Studio) and the les then simply uploaded to the relevant

folder on the FTP server.

The RP-500 can be set to contact the FTP server as often as required - downloading con-

tent and sending back playout compliance data from the eld. This basic systems offers

FREE remote content upload, scheduling and eld data compliance reporting.

DV-SYNC is ideal for smaller digital signage networks, and for those running within an

internal network infrastructure. For more complex requirements - Digital View works in

partnership with Delivering Digital Ltd, a specialist manager of large scale content manage-

ment systems (CMS).

BEN :

This is the ONLINE HOSTED CONTENT MANAGEMENT SYSTEM from Delivering Digital

Ltd. It offers a cost effective on-line mechanism for large scale digital signage network

management. The system provides for multiple levels of control for scheduling, content

groups, eld data reporting, content library management, template content creation, local

playlist creation and a whole host of bolt-on customizable applications for clients. The BEN

system is hosted on central servers operated by the Delivering Digital team. Delivering

Digital offer a completely managed service, with dedicated support and bandwidth man-

agement.

The BEN system can be branded to any customer - and integrated with a range of 3rd party

applications. It is the ideal management system for multiple client digital signage and digital

out-of-home networks.

DV-SYNC API:

Digital View further offers a full control API for the DV-SYNC protocol, that allows customers

to enhance and develop their own more complex content management systems.
