The ims Super (S) RCX series of thick film wraparound surface mount chip resistors is
ideal for applications requiring epoxy or solder die attaching methods and extended power
handling in a small package. Thick film technology provides a stable resistor at a very
affordable price. Special processing allows for twice the power handling capacity of other
resistors in the same size package. The “X” designation in each series is a variable that
allows for specifying the termination metalization. Please see the ordering information on
the back for instructions. The wraparound terminations can be platinum silver or platinum
silver with solder coating. These chip resistors have the following features:

• High stability thick film resistor element
• 96% Al2O3 substrate material
• Platinum silver(PtAg) or platinum silver with 62/36/2 solder coating
• Tolerances to ± 1%
• Passivated resistor element is standard
• Available in bulk, tape and reel, and waffle pack
