The two-board construction provides a cool environment for control components and the integrated metallic substrate PCB provides superior thermal management for power components resulting in enhanced product reliability. A heat sink can be conveniently and effectively attached to the IMS base plate for operations in elevated ambient conditions or where airflow is minimal.
