It incorporates a digitally controlled precision step attenuator that is preceded by an ultra low noise amplifier stage, and followed by an ultra-linear output driver amplifier. It is capable of meeting the MCNS/DOCSIS harmonic distortion specifications while only requiring a single polarity +5V supply. This part is a balanced design that meets or exceeds the MCNS/ ABSOLUTE MAXIMUM RATINGS DOCSIS requirement for PARAMETER PARAMETER harmonic performance @ +60dBmV output levels. Both V DD (P INS 2,4,9,21,24) 9 VD C the input and output are matched 0 to -3 VD C V RFIN (P INS 5,8) to 75 ohms. The precision attenuator provides up to 56 dB 5 VD C ATTIN (3,10) ATTOUT (19,26)V of attenuation in 1 dB ISET (P INS 7, 22) 2 VD C increments. The ARA2000S12 is supplied in a 28-pin SSOP + 60 dB mV RF Input Voltage (P INS 5,8)* package featuring a thermal heat slug on the bottom of package.
