Meaning of the function keys:
"Innen / Aussen” This key is used to select whether an internal or an external
thread is required. The selection is indicated by a diagram
on the screen.
"Vorschu richt." This function key is used to select the feed direction. The
current selection is indicated in the diagram by means of an
arrow below the word "Feed". Machining always starts in the
"reference point" of the thread, which is set by means of
parameters "z0" and "d1". By contrast, the end position for
the thread is calculated from the reference point and thread
length, as a function of the "feed direction" on the one hand
and by direct input via parameter "d2" on the other.
"Gangzahl" The number of threads per unit length can be incremented
by pressing this function key. The current value is shown in
the diagram as a number. When the maximum possible
number of threads is reached, the system automatically
reverts to a single-start thread (indicated by 1 in the
diagram).
"Achspos übern." The current actual position of the relevant axis can be
accepted by selecting an input parameter (entry field is
highlighted) and pressing this function key. If you try to
accept the axis position in entry fields for which this type of
value input is not viable, however, an error message
appears, which must be acknowledged by pressing the
function key.
"Ausführen" This function key opens the screen form in which the actual
machining operation takes place.
The following function keys can be accessed by pressing the "Extended menu" key
:
"Linear
Degrees."
This function key is used to switch between "linear infeed" and
"degressive infeed". The current selection is shown in the
diagram in plain text. "Linear infeed" means that roughing always
takes place at a constant depth of cut, and the internal infeed
calculation is designed so that the value for the "max. infeed
depth" (m1) is not exceeded during the entire thread cutting
operation. "Degressive infeed" on the other hand means that the
volume of cut is kept constant throughout the entire thread
cutting operation. In this case too, the value for "max. infeed
depth" (m1) is observed throughout the entire operation.
"Thread
recut."
This function key is used to select remachining or thread
recutting (→ Thread recutting).
