A concise wizard walks you through
the setup of network-wide multilayer
traffic prioritization for a network of
3Com SuperStack®3 Switch 4400s.
These switches inspect and classify
network traffic packet-by-packet at full
wirespeed based on application, proto-
col, source or destination, so your time-
sensitive voice or video transmissions are
prioritized above other network traffic.
Automatically discovers a 3Com
SuperStack 3 Webcache and configures
certain 3Com switches to redirect traffic
to the webcache device.
Customized Reports
Customize the content and format of
reports on equipment, port capacity, net-
work topology, and misconfigurations
found during network discovery. Easily
export reports to popular applications
such as Microsoft Excel and Access.

With a single button click, 3Com
Network Supervisor compares your
network software with the latest versions
available and seamlessly downloads
new versions that you can introduce
at your convenience. New service
packs, functional enhancements, and
support for new 3Com devices can be

Supervisor

software package extends the capabil-
ities of 3Com Network Supervisor in
two ways, making it particularly
valuable for users with larger, more
sophisticated networks. First, the
software increases the node limit for
3Com Network Supervisor, allowing
it to manage larger-sized networks—
up to 2,500 total IP devices. Second,
this software adds a bulk agent up-
date capability, letting you more easily
update the agents of the 3Com switches
on your network. This feature works
with the Live Update capabilities of
3Com Network Supervisor to check
for and retrieve new agent versions
from the 3Com website.
