MICRO SWITCH SS100 Series Surface Mount
Hall Effect Sensors
PK 88830
MICRO SWITCH Sensing and Control
GENERAL INFORMATION
SS100 Series Hall effect sensors have an NPN
(current sinking) output. The small SOT89 style
package surface mounts on PC boards and flexible
circuits.
These products are NOT suitable for protection
against personal injury.
To AVOID personal injury or death, DO NOT
USE these products as emergency stop or safety
devices, or in any other application where human
safety is at risk.
SS100 Series sensors are Category 2 ESD
sensitive per DOD-STD-1686A. Perform
assembly operations on tables with conductive
tops, with operators grounded.
SOLDERING INSTRUCTIONS
Exposure to high temperatures should be kept at
a minimum.
MICRO SWITCH recommends a convection
infrared reflow process with peak temperatures not
to exceed 220°C (428°F) for 20 seconds maximum.
DO NOT wave solder this product. Performance
and reliability may be negatively affected. Sub-
jecting these products to wave soldering will void
MICRO SWITCH’s warranty.
CLEANING
Use agitated rinse. Do not use pressure wash.
High pressure stream could force contaminants into
sensor package.

Absolute maximum ratings are
the extreme limits that the
device will withstand without
damage to the device. However,
the electrical and mechanical
